|Overlooked J-Drama of last season:
The popular Dramas this past season were Last Friends, CHANGE, Zettai Kareshi and a few others, but there was one that I fell in love with that no one watched...Kimi Hannin Ja Nai Yo Ne?
AKA Aren't You a Criminal?
The series is a mystery, like Puzzle, Mop Girl and Galileo, but it's half comedy and half serious, (like Mop Girl). It also has fun and addicting music. Part of the comedy are the costumes that Sakura wears when she goes undercover. Note that she is not a detective or police officer, but a girl who is secretly helping a helpless detective.Synopsis:
Morita Sakura is a peculiar "freeter" (freelance part-timer) who dreams of becoming a mystery novel writer. While switching between various jobs throughout the series, she also becomes an assistant to Officer Udagawa, a detective who discovers her excellent memory and reasoning skills. On the other hand, Udagawa (who has just joined the police ranks through his father's connections) is fairly inept and has a tendency to fall in love with female suspects.

|The only AX video I took:
Anime Expo was Super Busy, (for everyone) and with that said, I give you the ONLY video filmed by cosplaymedia.com at Anime Expo 2008:
Lucky Star Cheerleader performance.
|Wednesday, June 18th, 2008|
Not a well filmed video, (due to the fact that I was digging through my camcorder case for tapes during the skit) but the most requested Comic-Con 2007 video and AgentSakur9's highlight of 2007:
Don't have any high hopes for this video, it's only uploaded due to request not due to film quality...but it at least gives another angle to the skit.
Filmed using a SONY HD Z1U with sound from a Panasonic DVX100. Assistance by Huy, who handled the camcorder the sound was used from.
...and yes I am working on videos back to back, these weren't done and sitting around waiting to get uploaded.
Angel Hearts 2007 Anime Expo Performance:
Unfortunately after creating the video which took the entire day, the video was one minute too long for YouTube, (the service was once leniant and would allow videos to go over the 10 minute limit) so I used another video upload site known as Dailymotion because of their 20 minute video limit and after waiting 3 hours for it to encode/ publish I gave up and remade the original video to fit under the 10 minute Youtube limit. Entire process time: 14 hours from capture to Youtube. WHEWWWWww!
Frick that was a pain....but totally worth it. I should have worked on this in July, but a year later is good, right? :P Must have watched this thing 30 times now, because I love watching the video cut on the beat....and FYI the reason why Huy never used the zoom is because he couldn't. The lens on the camera would not permit him to zoom without losing focus.
Honestly, who doesn't love cute girls in mini skirts dancing to Para Para? There is no part of that sentence I didn't like...cute girls, para para, mini skirts. These are all positive things.
...and Rebecca has informed me that Saturday and 4 day badges are SOLD OUT for Comic-Con. They have stated that there will be absolutely no on-site reg for that day. http://comic-con.org/cci/cci_reg.php
This means that Friday will be sold out in a week if it follows what happened last year, so if you wanted to go on a popular day, then pick up a pass for Friday...and if you want to go to just cruise the exhibit hall, go Sunday. Peace Out.

|Socal Gathering Update
It was great fun, but I gots to pay my taxes and I don't want to wait until Monday and fight off everyone else doing it last second. If you don't file, you don't receive your $600 government relief check, so yeah. Everyone legally has to file, but I mean if you file for an extension, you don't get your check.
...and btw HDR and cosplay seemed like a cool idea, but yeah it doesn't work as well as I hoped. :( HDR Environments and objects = cool. HDR People = difficult. For those that don't know. HDR stands for High Dynamic Range where you take a series of 3 photos. One normal, one dark and one light. The easiest way to do this is to use steps in your camera. I believe all DSLR cameras can do this and for some reason my SONY 717 does. You merge the three images and the program such as Photoshop computes the difference in the 3 and pulls out the best light and dark segments and gives you a very artistic and beautiful picture. For more info: http://www.vanilladays.com/hdr-guide/
I hope to have some pics up Monday night... and maybe I'll post how horrible the HDR images came out. :(
EDIT: OK I managed to get several images done today before starting up my taxes:

|Petition to end notoriously bad film director's career:
Most of you already know about the petition going around. But for those who don't, there is an online petition to get the worst director in the last decade removed from the director's chair. That director being Uwe Boll. Some people might ask, "Who" while others will argue that there are much worse film directors out there such as Brett Ratner. Uwe Boll goes down not just for being listed as the worst director, but for killing popular video game franchises. Which ones you ask? Well for starters we have House of the Dead. Fortunately the sequel was NOT directed by Boll, but by former Kick Boxing Champion Michael Hurst. As strange as it sounds, Michael Hurst was perhaps one of the better directors I've seen in the past 5 years. Other games that Boll killed with his horrible directing were Bloodrayne and Alone in the Dark. Unfortunately, he directed not only the original Bloodrayne, but Bloodrayne 2 and Uwe Boll drove the final nail on that series' coffin.
Here's what you can do to stop him....
...Uwe Boll stated that if 1 Million people signed a petition stating that he was desecrating on the film industy that he would step down from his director's chair.Currently the list is at 150,000 signatures and he's already sweating bullets by retaliating with an article stating that if there were an online petition to keep him as a director that the number would be doubled that of those wishing for him to take a hike. Boll had also taken stabs at popular directors Michael Bay and Eli Roth in his article. Eli Roth is one of the top five directors in my books. No one else can give you that CREEPY feeling that his films do. Not even the SAW films or Asian Horror films come close to creeping me out as much as Roth can.
So in short, if you hate horrible video game to movie adaptations and horrible directors, make sure to sign away:

|COSPLAY MEDIA 5 Year Anniversary:
It's officially been 5 years since Cosplay Media hit the internet. To celebrate, I'm uploadeding some of the original, (and horribly made) videos that I've done. The website has also been redesigned to celebrate the 5 years of making cosplay and convention videos.http://cosplaymedia.com
